Music Banter - View Single Post - Who thinks that it's extremly achievable for one to teach themselves trumpet?

i think it's totally achievable. obviously there are definite advantages to having a teacher. but i also think that music is a pretty subjective thing, and if i like what's coming out the end of my trumpet, then technically i can play the trumpet.

but to become a successful self-taught trumpet player, as in one that generates enough income to survive via the playing of his trumpet, you would need to have a pretty hermetic approach at learning.
