Despite the haplessly formulaic song structures (everything is in 6/4), John Reis and Rick Froberg still managed to crank out oodles of inventive riffs and stuff them into four-minute packages. Probably the best anyone has channeled Wipers or Mission of Burma since Zen Arcade, I'm wondering how they gravitated so far from their roots in Drive Like Jehu and still manage to sound so good.

Excellent record for anyone who has an even nominal interest in post-hardcore or indie rock.
