Toto - Falling In Between (2006)
A group that I never thought had much in them to begin with after 1979's
Hydra managed to cut one hell of a nice rock album right before disbanding. Catchy, tight as balls instrumentally and lyrically well written...what more could you ask for?
Closure In Moscow - First Temple (2009)
Like Coheed & Cambria except more chaotic, less high-register vocals and punchier bass. In other words, pop-prog.-punk done right.
Tears For Fears - The Seeds Of Love (1989)
Best pop band of the 80's pulls a Sgt. Peppers of their own, kicking arse and taking names with it's mastery of all things hook, melody line and late 60's idealism.
