I completely agree. It's definitely their most progressive stage. Their earlier stuff is very angry and hostile, but I loved it, too. Even
10,000 Days is more spiritual than their earlier work. I wouldn't mind seeing them turning it up a little bit. Though all their albums are pretty heavy, I miss the straight-up angry stuff. I want loudness and screaming. I'm pretty spiritual and enjoy the softer side of Maynard's voice, but it's just not quite the same. He is overrated, anyway. The mastermind behind Tool is Adam Jones. It's all very apparent in the Revolver Magazine's Tool edition interview.
