I've just got back from seeing it, overall it was pretty impressive. Regarding the storyline it was kinda somewhere between the original Alice In Wonderland and American McGee's Alice, but it was pretty much Burton's own twisted version. The storyline could have been a little bit better though but it was still great. Depp was excellent as the Mad Hatter, i don't think anyone could have done it better, and Helena Bonham Carter was well cast as the Red Queen.
The 3D visuals were great though but they did make parts of it seem unrealistic at times, especially when she's in the normal world at the beginning, but the 3D is used to great effect in wonderland. I do agree with Noise though that the 3D can make things seem a little out of focus at times but if you have glasses bring them along as well as your 3D glasses and it won't be too bad.
Overall a really great film. Go see!
