On the subject of good horror movie sequels, I'm a pretty big fan of the Phantasm franchise and I'd actually go as far as saying the second movie is better than the first.

I saw the first Phantasm, but I'd sort of forgotten about it. What I remember is that it was a weird film. There's the tall guy turning corpses into his little dwarf slaves, pretty strange. I don't think I found it particularly entertaining, but I'll at least read up on the second one and see if it appeals.
