I felt the same way about
Night Is the New Day, the album felt so formulaic and half the time I didn't even notice when the songs changed. I wouldn't write them off by that one album though. Their 2003 album
Viva Emptiness and their 1998 release
Discouraged Ones are far better. I though admit that
Night Is the New Day is a great leap in their musicianship towards a more classical sound.
