As far as I can tell lucifer sam agrees with me. I'm no technical expert but my understanding has always been that CDs have a more limited tonal range than vinyl.

Okay, I'll clarify it: they don't break easier. I would say it's just about as easy to damage a CD as it is to damage a record.
