I don't hate the genre. I love a lot of punk music. What I hate is the status and the hypocrisy.

Punk is a genre by the broadest dinition. IMO there are two kinds of genres.

-Genres of specific sound and style, which most genres fall into.
-Genres of philosophy and approach, which is what punk, prog and alternative fall into when going by their broadest definitions.
