^ Good post and good point. In essence, most music is some form of rebellion, but I suppose "Rock" (using that term very liberay) is more so than others.

To me, KISS was definatly over the top, but then again I have never really gone for the whole masked and costumed band thing. Just give me plain people who make good music. As it was pointed out, they were a "Show", not just a concert and I'm sure that also boosted popularity (especially with the people who can't tell good music from a hole in the ground). KISS will definatly have their place in history and I'm sure they influenced alot of regular people and musicians too.
