Still, smart people do take opiates for fun. Smart people exhibit all kinds of poor judgement daily - with drugs and otherwise. And there is no such thing as natural selection on a generational level. Everybody currently alive will be dead soon enough and every genetic trait in existence will survive in future generations for a while. That is to say that smart people will keep doing smack as well as dying over road rage. And stupid people will continue to use good judgement and live safely. Maybe we should just separate good judgement from intelligence - is there any evidence they are linked?
