British electronic music: the usual suspects - too clever for its own good, too studenty and trying too hard to be cool.

"Harvest Festival" on the contrary, are so simple and unpretentious, made by someone who cares about music. The atmosphere in this record is an integrator - made without any commercial concerns, but certainly have great appeal. In a way, puts me in mind of early Warp releases, but maybe with a bit of 10CC, Trevor Horn, Aphex Twin, Vangelis thrown in.

And ... hidden among all the tracks "" there are two proper songs, is excellent: the atmospheric "Lime (local time)" and the Robert Wyatt-meets-Spiritualized "Coconut Shy."

It is a LP to fly all the cobwebs and the bull *** t and put a smile on your face on a day in late autumn gray.
