Wtf.

Lou Reed, The Who and Bob Marley are brought up in this thread?

Are you people actually trying?

Rick Wakeman? the keys player for yes? The guy who made a synth rock opera based on the life of henry VIII? yeah, that one – with the huge pipe organ mixed with bass synth stabs? freakin insane genius.

And speaking of insane genius, alan parsons is on this list, why?
Wakeman has done some insanely exessive, cheesy stuff. But that doesn't take away from the brilliant work he's done with Yes and David Bowie and some of his solo works like Henry VIII are pretty good too. He's the greatest rock keyboardist ever as far as I'm concerned (not including pianists like Jerry Lee Lewis).

Alan Parsons is one of the greatest producers of all time and he's put out some solid stuff with his own band.

Blender prove their lack of journalistic integrity by showing such ridiculous bias towards entire genres of music, which doesnt just include prog but jazz fusion, which they mentioned on a list of the 50 worst things to happen to music and cited reasons like "time signatures that Stephen Hawking couldn't figure out".

That is amazing, I never knew someone could cite odd time signatures as a reason to write off a whole genre of music.
