Hannah Montana- it wasn't just given to her. Other actresses were approached about the role, too...

As someone mentioned in an earlier post, the song is to promote her clothing line...and Miley has said that the song isn't representative of the music she'd like to make in the future.

Miley plays Hannah Montana on the TV show. She does release Hannah Montana soundtrack albums, and then Miley also has her own albums, too. I guess if you don't watch the show, it can be confusing...? But it's not like Miley goes around, "Oh, I'm Hannah Montana"...it's a character. It's like how Mark-Paul Gossalaar (sp?) didn't go around, "Oh, I'm Zack Morris"...Miley doesn't have an identity crisis...
