Seaweed -
Actions & Indications (1999, Merge)
Haven't listened to this in a while. Great final album from this Seattle (Tacoma actually) grunge/alt rock band who put their first album out in 1991 on Sub Pop. I've only heard their last 3 and this may be the most accessible but it's the one I like most. Their style on this one has a bit in common with mid-late 90s emo stylistically (not the sh
it you know from MTV and MySpace), but their lyrics are not emo. A little bit of
Sunny Day Real Estate, a little late-era
Jawbreaker. A smidge of post-hardcore perhaps. Drummer Alan Cage from
Quicksand apparently played on this album, so there's that (though this isn't like they are).
