Yea, produce and mix the music on monitors... but headphones definitely have their place.

Wasn't implying headphones are useless lol, but if it were me, i woulden't do detailed work with headphones, even if it's going to be YOUR listening medium. a nice set of monitors can better detect anything over a set of headphones. But as he stated (which i missed when reading his post) they're for a uni class, so i'm guessing it's nothing TOO serious.
