Your right, they're acting like the *******s they really are. Hopefully, they'll be more online services like iTunes and Pressplay in the future and prices per song will come down to the point that legally downloading music online will be a viable alternative to P2P. Apparently, the MPAA now says they have 18 months to get their act together and start offering online downloads of their products at a realistic price before P2P devastates them. All of these industries have to accept the fact that the days of gouging the consumer are over.
