"This Is Our Music" kind of disappointing me at first, but I've warmed up to it. And I am with you on the voice, he sounded so sunny and welcoming to me. The musical chemistry hit me later on.

It's strange how over time your opinions change, I remember thinking years ago about how I would always regard Loveless as my favourite album no matter WHAT, I found it so good. But although I've known Galaxie 500 almost as long, I still love them and listen to them often nowadays, which isn't the case really for MBV.

btw I only bring up shoegaze because you often see G500 mentioned in association with that style of music.
Yeah, I understand. Galaxie 500's has a certain immediate emotional grip on you when you hear it. You kind of fall into it, and their music just ends up meaning a lot more in the end. I do love Loveless and all, but if push came to shove I could live without it, just because I only see it as the brilliant music, and not brilliant music + some sort of other connection.
