Well, I can see why people wouldn't like them. I can see why people wouldn't like any band though, whether it's Nirvana because of the overplayed/hype aspect or whether it's vocals. Music is subjective like that, but a band like Joy Division to find them 'boring' I don't fully understand, but then again I absolutely adore Unknown Pleasures. So I find it harder to be less biased and see any faults with them. I think Ian was brilliant. I think the sound of his voice on the records were more due to production, I remember listening to the John Peels sessions on a CD I have and they sounded.. different. But that might just be me.
