I use to believe Plans was Death Cab's best album too but after serious listening to the band's early work, I quickly changed my mind. Everything about the pre-Plans Death Cab screams "better" to me. From the melodies, to the lyrics, to the overall feel and sound.
You can continue to enjoy Plans whilst I'll listen to the band's actual gems.

Not trying to take sides but i would agree in the same way that their older stuff please ME more. Stress the ME. And i also listened to Plans first and then dug into their old stuff and for myself their older stuff has much more emotion and thats just simply more of the music i prefer.
