I think for me it was the moment thats now attached to the song that really sold it for me.
It was the first year I was living out on my own, I was jsut getting out of my terrible nu-metal bubble and I went with some friends to this thrift store that had this underground feel; its this old factory from the 1800's and its interior rotting-wood walls were all painted bright pink. They had these cheesy chandeliers hanging with those orange christmas bulbs and it was raining out that day.
Everyone sort of moved around like slugs and the song just fit like a glove. I'll always been 21 at the garmet district when i hear that song.
