It can be inconvenient among other things, but I feel overall it has reduced stress. I don't leave at the last minute knowing I can just haul butt in the car, I don't have to put up with all the stresses of driving. I can chill and read a book or enjoy the scenery, while listening to music (which can be done in a car, too, and I do miss leisurely drives). I'm not trying to convince you of course, just saying I never thought I'd be ok with not having one. Not to mention the money I'm saving or able to spend on other things. Though it would be nice to have a car for weekends.
