I discovered him recently and felt the need to add my appreciation to the thread.
I love all my blues music- don't get me wrong- but I find a lot of it tends to run together at times. Seasick Steve really has a distinct way about him, so when I hear his music there is absolutely no mistaking who it is. His sound is refreshing- its the same old ratty blues that you want to hear- but from a tad bit different perspective. I like his humor too. He's rather witty and you can't help but like a guy with the life story he's got. Who could make more genuine blues than that? I would love to see him live.
Conclusion: I would hop a train ol' Steve any day of the week.
