I think 90% of the names people have come up with here are fine band names.
Yes, The The, The Band etc are terrible band names as theres no thought gone into them at all. "Portugal. The Man" is probably the most pretentious band name i have ever heard.
But Queens of the Stone Age? Alice in Chains? Muse? King Diamond? Rainbow? Come on, these and so many others in this thread are not bad names for a band or at least im struggling to see why they come to mind so easily above others that are far worse.
