no, it's because i'm old enough to have already been listening to and picking through all the same groups that influenced Kid A before it came out and saw it for the
attempt that it really was. the only really impressive thing about the album, is that it was a major mainstream release. but even at that point the mainstream was so horny to prove itself to be eclectic that it messed its pants at the idea of being able to support something as 'challenging' as Kid A for the mass of hipster plebs clamoring for something 'new'.
