I totally see what Janszoon is saying.

When I was in my early 20s I used to regularly read the weekly music press, Listen to Lamacq & Peel, all of my friends were really into all sorts of music and would discuss it with me & I would regularly go clubbing and checking out what was new there.

These days I don't bother doing any of that & most of my friends have much more important priorities than talking about & following music. My only contact with what's happening comes from the odd snippet on TV or radio & this forum.

I like having the freedom to listen to albums both past & present with pretty much no expectations.
