I know XTC has great material in the 80s that's often considered better like Skylarking and that's just a testament to the awesomeness of this band because Drums and Wires is one of the best albums of the late 70s IMO. Their 80s stuff is much slicker and mature (I love their pyschedelic pop phase a lot) but I love D&W for the rawness and craziness of it, but it's a very technical kind of rawness that as a proggie is easy to go gaga over.
It beats Fear of Music for me but not by much, though if I was pairing it against Talking Heads 77 or Remain in Light the TH would probably win because I prefer those to Fear Of.
