This is a delight. Patton covers 50/60s Italian popular songs (including one Ennio Morricone
theme and a galloping, heavier offering by garage band the Blackmen) with a live orchestra. Listened to it several times through and the only part that bothers me is some of the uneven vocal mixing on one of the tracks in the middle, forget the title. Oh and it's way too short considering how long he's been sitting on this record, and how many tracks were professionally filmed (see above link): 11 songs.
Not for everybody perhaps but if you've taken a leap of faith with Patton's stylistic U-turns before and been richly rewarded, this should povide a similarly revelatory experience. More comments when I can be bothered. Sticking with a *strong* 'very good' on this, simply 'cause there ain't enough of it. Came along just as I was thinking of learning Italian too.
