Broadcast - Tender Buttons
I'm freaking in love with this album right now. Fairly dark electronic neo-psychedelia that has this 60's psych tinge that keeps it just poppy enough to stay interested through the whole album. The vocalist Trish Keenan sings like a 60's pop artist and it fits in perfectly with the interesting blend of retro and modern sounding electronic noises. I had heard a song of theirs a while back and didn't think much of it (can't remember the song), but I decided I needed something with female pop vocals and this is what I got. The first half of the album is flawless. Great great stuff.
