Kathleen Hanna's voice just seemed screechier than the other examples in this thread!

Hmm, the singing in "Hot Topic" by Le Tigre sounded so childlike and melodic to me that I thought the song could be considered soul, if it weren't for the drum pattern and a bit of distorted guitar. Their singing didn't seem to have much edge and made the song sound very tame...although of course the topic is good!
I'll try listening to some more of their stuff. Maybe there's something harsher. I probably just prefer a punk sound to electroclash.

Thank you for mentioning electroclash, by the way. I'd never heard of that genre before, Oh Wise and Knowledgable Tumor.
