I find any woman that choses to go bald in public either by choosing the look or not hiding her condition (alopecia, chemo or any other cause) to be an inspiration. But Sharon taking the extra step and actually trying to do something about the media's depiction of bald women makes her special indeed.
Thanks to people that share her kind of attitude you do see more women sporting the look as a fashion statement. Sometimes being bald can open up new career opportunities for a woman instead of it being a career killer as feared.
Some modeling agencies like to promote exotic and progressive looks so I see an increasing demand for bald models being a possible outcome in the future.
