People need to get off their high horses about the "sanctity" of marriage.

People who don't love each other get married all the time and for ages marriage never WAS about love.

For many past and present cultures marriage is more or less a contractual agreement and many marriages were arranged by families to create a kind of financial union and a way of saying "lets combine our awesome genes to produce children who will be successful".

The history of marriage isn't quite as lubby dubby as you probably think it is. And unless you still definine marriage as having absolutely f*cking nothing to do with love than I don't see why you should oppose gay marriage.
