I reckon most governments that won't allow g ay marriage are more worried about a loss of tax revenue than anything written in some work of fiction 2000 odd years ago.

ays can get that without being married, i forgot what it's called but it's basically getting a document that says you are "together" in the eyes of the government but not officially married, the document is so ***s can get all the tax cuts and etc.
