I don't know whether it's me but the UK seems to be asleep at the moment, there seems to be very few interesting new indie bands coming out of the UK in the past couple of years. Per capita though Iceland has an incredible DIY indie music scene.

There's a really good scene in the UK at the moment I think, it just hasnt become that widely exposed yet. It is Indie in the purest sense of the word. Bands like Fair Ohs, Munch Munch, PENS, Graffiti Island, Race Horses, Spectrals, Lets Wrestle, Cold Pumas, Male Bonding, Peepholes, Pheromoans, Wetdog etc are all putting out interesting stuff. I do prefer American and Canadian acts at the moment, but it is there and pretty vibrant if you have a little delve.
