I must've heard I turn my camera on about a million times on random Tv commercials though...never knew who played it.
Adidasss, I saw your post today about Spoon's song "Finer Feelings" down in the lounge, and I agree with you completely that it is a nicely crafted pop song! Catchy, kind of sweet, lots to listen to in it. I'd never heard the song before today.

I especially like their use of guitar in this song. They tease you with a few notes of electric guitar in the beginning, then they offer longer passages later, and finally a full out rhythm guitar section with solo electric guitar, too! Then, so things aren't boring, they have a simple acoustic guitar section thrown in to break up the song nearer to the end. And, like someone mentioned earlier in the thread, the rasp in that man's voice is very...appealing.

I don't know what they are singing about, but I'll take your word for it that it's about a magazine! I got distracted by the sounds and didn't listen to the words much!

"The Underdog" is their song I hear most often on the radio, but I prefer "Finer Feelings" to it. However, I do like "The Underdog's" energy and song structure with its distinct sections that blend together and change throughout the song slightly, incorporating clapping, trumpets, tambourine, etc.
