This is an excellent and very original thread topic, especially for one's first post on MB. I took the liberty of editing your post into dome smaller paragraphs so it would be easier to read.
I know that there are definitely a handful of cases such as this in the history of music, namely in blues and jazz, but since none of the specifics of the ones that I know are out there are coming to mind, I'm gonna' save my input for another time, but great thread!
