Bland, boring.
There are actually some VERY amazing Christian bands out there. Although some are quite bland.. And they give the genre a bad name.
Here are a few, along with a favourite track.

Christian bands are all about spreading the gospel, while a band of Christians are more about music (While they usually still do make a few songs concerning God).

By "lyrically influenced", you mean like... They won't swear, and generally won't put out quite as many depressing songs? Then yes.
