I don't dislike it as much as Strawberry Jam, but my gripe with it is that, in older Animal Collective material, the best songs were the ones that grew overtime. Most Danse Manatee songs are fairly abrupt and don't move much, making most songs pretty passable. Still better than SJ, though.
