While I agree that post count doesn't signify much of anything, unfortunately, a lot of undesirable personalities do. Lounge posts are a lot more lenient than on-topic posts and get a lot of play with a lot of different things. If we counted posts in the lounge, we'd be full up with people using it just to bulk up their post count. It's already a job making sure the music areas of this site aren't being abused, but adding in the lounge areas, it'd be ridiculous.
