Yep...it still goes on, though the popularity of beauty contests is dropping. That may be why this year contestants were asked to have pictures taken of themselves topless! I'm sure, though, that the interview and talent components count heavily.
Well, after some preliminary investigation of the contestants, including searching for responses to interview questions, I think
Puerto Rico's contestant, Mariana Paola Vicente, might win. She's a model who is certainly hoping to further her already established career through this contest. I think she looks pretty and shows personality, with some pensive brooding looks that I like:
