Rriot Grrl, your username and posts above make me think you'll know the answer to this...

Were there just two main feminist punk music movements...the "female crust punk" bands and the "Riot Grrl" movement? How do you feel the two movements' song messages differed? I haven't heard enough of their music to know yet. And what made you relate to the riot grrl movement more than the crust movement?

I agree with the idea of not wanting to discourage any band because of its particular feminist political message, partly for the reason you mention!
