It's not like the whole casino is smoking. We're talking about specifically renovated sections and rooms. Probably an eighth of the building's entirety. It isn't irrational to assign nonsmoking employees to the nonsmoking sections of the hotel. To smoke, you have to take the elevator down four stories and then 25 meters out of the entrance area, which is itself sizable (valet and such). And yes, the police do go out of their way to harass folk not abiding by the laws pertaining to the entrance. As far as bars go, plenty of bars can and have chosen to be nonsmoking. It's not like to go to a bar equals second hand smoke. At least half of our bars are nonsmoking. Smokers are a minority, and as such we're signed off by majority rule without a second thought, or rather were. Here in Georgia all is well.
