I gotta agree with Dayvan on the second part of that statement. Of course, creativity is endless... I mean look at all the krautrock bands, who knows how many instruments they created to make their own unique sounds. I will say imagination & creativity is much more important than technology, that's common sense, especially in a genre like prog. But with more technology available you have more things available too take creative liberties with. Of course, some people just get overwhelmed and lazy and decide not to experiment and instead just use what's available...

That said, I don't really like any prog, except maybe bands like Kayo Dot if they fall in the genre. I consider math rock, post rock, and noise rock their own genres. Oh, and At the Drive-In crushes TMV any day :p This looks good so far though, keep it up!
