Post Pirate Blues

One of our oldest songs, and one of our favourites. Inspired by the warm weather and Brighton, it nearly always makes an apprearence in our set list.

I left my love on the beach,
where the sand burns your feet,
and my emotions in the waves,
oh, happy,
happy days.

I don't,
don't want to go home.
No, I don't,
don't want to go home.

We're on brighton piers,
we're our loves and fears,
and all of this could be ours,
all of this could be ours.

I don't,
don't want to go home.
No, I don't,
don't want to go home.

(Instrumental break)

Don't you,
don't you ever get colder?
Don't you ever get sober?
When I'm not around...

Don't you,
don't you ever get colder?
Don't you ever get sober?
When I'm not around...

I don't want to go home.

We're on brighton piers,
we're our loves and fears,
and all of this could be ours,
all of this could be ours.

And I'm so low,
I'm so low,
I'm so low...

I'm so low.

I never wanted to love you, but that's okay...
I always knew that you'd leave me anyway.

You're treading on awfully thin ice darling,
it's so awfully thin.
It's almost turning to water,
as
we
speak.
