hey everybody
My name's Dan, I'm a college student/virtual crate-diver from southern California. You might say I'm one of those "internet seekers" that that James Murphy is losing his edge to, but my heart is in the right place, I think.
My tastes mostly gravitate towards underground pop/rock music from the late 50's onwards, but the rockist in me loves keeping up with this new breed of ultra-indie blog band, and full disclosure I run a little .mp3 blog with a (very) modest readership.
Lately I've been obsessed with the tropicalia records, and as far as new stuff's concerned the new Women album is unbelievably good. I think the Beatles are the most singularly fantastic artists that pop music has ever seen. And uh, some of my other favorite bands are Talking Heads, Pavement, the Fall, and Devo.
