I tend to write melody first, then put lyrics to the melody. That's kind of what happened with this one. I'm writing the music for it right now, and the melody will undergo some minor alterations to fit that. I'm toying with putting this in the key of Am, but have sort of messed with making it in Cm as well - it gives off very different vibes in the two different keys, and that's always a whole lot of fun to fiddle around with.
