An Alternative Guide to...
Angst That annoying mixed emotion of resentment, anger, and sadness all wrapped up into one that suddenly invaded your life once you turned 13. A lot of music has been written with this emotion as the driving force. Some good, some (really) bad. This compilation focuses on the former variant. Like the title surmises, I tried to stray away from the obvious and notorious choices. Each track brings a new aspect of this immature emotion into play. From the pissed off "One-Armed Scissor" to the melancholy "Low Tide of the Night" to the just plain miserable "Two". Like an emo kid unwinding from a bad day at middle school, the comp starts off energetic and promptly winds down and collapses (until the last track).
