Asking someone why they're not gay is like asking a 7ft tall man, "Why aren't you shorter? Why aren't you, say 5'8"? " That's just how he is. Some people are tall, others are short, some are attracted to the opposite sex, others to both sexes, and some to the same sex. I think it's sad that we have to get so in-depth into this - there's really no need. Also, sexual orientation for the
overwhelming majority is not a choice. I frankly don't see how someone can choose to be aroused when exposed to specific stimuli on demand. I always thought it was instinctual. I was listening to a psychology lecture from Dr. Paul Bloom from Yale. He argued that sexual orientation has to be mostly genetic -- hence why it hasn't died out of the gene pool yet. He also argued that it couldn't be completely and totally genetic - as twins have shown to have different sexual orientations.
