i hate the SG so damn much! every ****ing band under the sun today has one. they were cool when angus played them, but now their just as popular as the strat themselves. anyhoo, the les paul is overated, i agree, and they are too heavy. i would pick a gretsch anyday. epiphone is just like peavey(sp?) a cheaper version of the gibsons.
