Me too but honestly I think I would be far more productive if I couldn't, lol. Not only
can it be a distraction while listening and working, but it makes me research other music while I'm listening. Something I'm listening to may remind me of something else, so I'll look it up. It may be my first listen to a particular artist, and if I'm loving it I may research a bit of their history, or what album to get next, or want to talk about it on various message boards (this last thing is most often the case). So as you can see, listening
causes many other distractions. Sometimes I really want to take a break and not listen to music at work for a week or two, see how things go. I'm sure it would help. But should I really deny myself the joy of music? I mean, it's my passion. Problem is, I care more about it than I do work. And in the long run, that's not good at all. If only I could find a job that pays me to research and listen to music...
